ACT learner licences which expire between 31 January 2022 and 31 March 2022 have been extended:

The ACT Government has again approved the extension of all ACT Learner licenses with an expiry date between 31 January 2022 and 31 March 2022. These licences will be extended for 6 months automatically.

There is no cost associated with the extension and if you are eligible, a letter will be sent to the address on the licence confirming the extension. A replacement card displaying the extension can be ordered online from Access Canberra with no fee.

The goal of this extension is again to assist learner drivers with reaching their goal of independent driving. Given that people have been unable to attend driving lessons or leave their homes due to the ongoing Covid situation, the ACT Government has approved this measure as a means to lessen this impact.

In which case, you can just focus on what matters, booking courses and planning for your goals.
